Nigerian Dwarf Goat Breed Standards:
The Nigerian Dwarf should be of balanced dairy proportions retaining the strength of bone characteristic of their breed. The face is to be straight or slightly dished and their coat is soft with short to medium length. Their coat color comes in many different colors and pattern combinations and have brown, gold and/or blue eyes. They should have medium erect ears and a maximum height for does 22.5 inches and bucks 23.5 inches.
The Nigerian Dwarf is a miniature dairy goat that originated in West Africa and now recognized in the United States. These friendly, loving goats are noted for their sweet milk which is high in butterfat and protein. They represent the smallest breed of dairy goat.
